Supply Chain

New Zealand home

To provide high quality functional bioactive whey protein ingredients, it is important to start with high quality milk. The New Zealand and Australian milk used for Quantec ingredients is sourced from pasture fed cows which has significant benefits for the milk nutritional profile and animal welfare.

Supply chain information

Quantec works with leading New Zealand and Australian dairy companies who manufacture our bioactive whey protein ingredients under contract. Supply partners are selected based on their capability to meet our specifications and export dairy food safety/quality standards.

Our supply partners are FSSC 22000/ISO 14001 certified and operate under Government Food Safety Authority registered risk management plans (RMP) for dairy processing.

Quantec supply partners have comprehensive milk quality testing systems in place from the farm through to the finished products.

Partner processors and their dairy farmer suppliers are required to meet emissions, water quality and animal welfare standards. Australia and New Zealand government authorities carry out comprehensive independent monitoring to ensure milk is free from any chemical residues, and use of hormones is not permitted.

To meet the mandated milk quality standards requires frequent monitoring and testing of milk quality (microbiological, chemical and fat/protein composition) throughout the supply chain - from the farm to finished product. All production and testing data across the supply chain is collected – enabling full traceability
